Jodie Maree was born 19 June 1984 Toowoomba, Australia. Jodie Maree is the current Australian Women's cricket caption. Jodie Maree is a wicket keeper & right arm batsman. Jodie Maree grew up in Queensland playing boy's & men's cricket at school before playing women's cricket at University. Jodie Maree made her start for her state team the Queensland fire in 2000 & has captioned the side since the starting of the 2008-09 season. Jodie Maree international start for Australia came in a test V India in Adelaide in February 2006. Jodie Maree was appointed captain of commonwealth Bank Southern stars in 2009, replacing the renown Karen Rolton. IN doing so Jodie became the st Queensland woman to captain Australia. Jodi 1st match as caption of Australian national women's side was a Twenty20 V England in Derby on 25 June 2009. Jodie made her maiden test 100 with a captain's Knock of 139, rescuing her team which had slumped to 5-28. The match was eventually drawn after rain on the last day.
