PTV was founded 26 November 1964. PTV headquarters Karachi and Islamabad Pakistan. Pakistan Television  corporation was the 1st major television media broadcasting network in Pakistan & currently operates under the Government-ownership management of the government of Pakistan. Pakistan television corporation was integrated under government-ownership in a nationalization programme in 1970, after failing to produce  targeted revenue. Pakistan television in one of the well-expanded broadcast in network  infrastructure & media broadcasting divisions in cities of Pakistan & abroad. PVT originally broadcast in black and white, Pvt start colour transmission in 1976. PVT launched a full-scale satellite broadcasting service in 1991-92, Digital TV satellite broadcasting was launched in 1999. PVT can be received via satellite in South Asia, East Asia & the Middle East, Africa. North America, Europe. Selected programming can be seen on prime TV in the United Kingdom & Europe. PTV X-managing director wasYousaf Beg Mirza. PTV current managing director is Qazi Mustafa Kamal. PVT operates following channels.

PTV Channels introduction 

PTV Home:   24 hour entertainment channel, the transmission is broadcast  across Pakistan on terrestrial network & world wild  through satellite. The   content of the terrestrial & satellite channel is different, for example, terrestrial programming includes live telecast of Pakistan's cricket matches but satellite channel cannot broadcast these matches.  
                                                                       

PTV News: 24hour news channel which can be viewed in many parts of the globe.

PTV National: priority on broadcasting programmes in different languages to represent the  whole of  Pakistan.

AJK TV: for the residents of Azad Kashmir.

PTV Bolan: 

For speakers of Balochi Pashto & Brahvi.

PTV Global:

Offered exclusively for the Pakistani diaspora in the united states on Dish Network,&   recently launched in Europe.

PTV World:

Started as PTV-2 in 1992 as 1st satellite channel of Pakistan was given a new name of PTV world in 1998 & went off air in 2007now, a 24 hour English channel re- launched in January 2013.

PTV Prime: Prime TV had been a part of PTV family from 1998 till 2005 as an exclusive broadcast of PTV for North America  and Europe.  Now Prime TV.

Channel 3: a 24 hour channel. A joint venture of PTV & Shalimar Television (STN)  , launched in 1999 till 2001 &went off air in 2005.

PTV Sports: A 24 hour sports channel that started from January 2012.
 PTV Sports owned by Pakistan television corporation. PTV sports is a twenty four hour Pakistani sports channel. PTV sports formed in 14 January 2012. PTV sports test transmission began on December 2001 on Asia sat. PTV sports is a stated-owned channel. PTV sports has telecast many different sports events since it is launched. PTV sport has also got rights of many sports events as  tennis, hockey, cricket, & football. The PTV sport viewership of this channel is so high & it can also watched through antenna.
